APG Awards in 2009 attracted an all-time record of 153 entries. Rachel Hatton and her team on the shortlisting panel chose the best 25 papers – an eclectic mix of clients, agencies and business challenges, with a strong international showing. In September each author presented their paper to the final judges, who decided whether it would win Gold, Silver or Bronze. The papers demonstrate, each in its own way, how fresh strategic thinking can lead to brilliantly creative and effective work. It is interesting to note how the entries reflect the big questions that agencies are wrestling with right now. Many thanks to the shortlisters, judges and our Awards sponsors.

But above all, thanks to all the authors of the 153 papers.
