Brainstorming course details

How to facilitate high-quality, inspirational brainstorming and generate fresh creative thinking

On this course you will learn how to run high-quality brainstorming sessions and workshops through which you will be able to:
-- generate new thinking
-- (re)motivate agency/client teams
-- trigger new directions and new courses of action

Your tutors will be Merry Baskin and Paul Collins, who are both highly experienced in this area of training and have refined this course since its inception in 2003.  As usual, there will be a session by Vincent Nolan, the founding father of Synectics in the UK, who has written several books on the subject.

"The interactive session was scary but valuable.  Vincent and the two speakers were great."  said one delegate.

Planners should be perceived as the natural catalyst between existing knowledge and new creative ideas; hence they are the ideal people to facilitate brainstorming sessions.  However, planners aren't always trained to get the best out of brainstorming, often being left to 'learn on the job'.  And, dare we say it, some people think they know how to brainstorm and do it badly, which gives brainstorming a bad name. This course fills these gaps.

You will receive theoretical and practical training and take part in:
-- planning a brainstorm
-- gaining the confidence of the group and accepting responsibilty as facilitator
-- enabling an environment whre people are able to unlock their creative potential
-- practising techniques for eliciting  and generating ideas in quantity
-- achieving a motivated team aligned around their ideas and agreed actions

This course is valuable to any planner with two or more years' experience who wants to add these important and fulfilling skills to their skill set.
