How is the paper submitted?
What information do I need to supply when submitting my paper?
What format should my paper be in?
All papers will need to be submitted in PDF form (max file size: 15mb)
What are the terms and conditions?
Worldwide copyright and right to publish in digital and printed forms of each entry will pass to the APG and it is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that the approvals supplied are adequate for this purpose and that all data and information included in the paper may be published.
What does my paper have to include?
What is the total word count?
APG Creative Strategy Awards Papers - The word limit is 2,000 words max. You will also need to provide a 250 word summary but this is not included in your total word count.
What is the entry cost?
Can I get a refund if my paper has to be withdrawn?
No, submissions are non-refundable. Please be sure you have all the correct approvals before submitting your paper.
Do I need to be an APG Member to enter the awards?
Entrants must be members of the APG. If there is more than one primary author at least one must be an APG member. (For authors from outside the UK, this rule does not apply)
Can I submit more than 1 paper?
Yes. If you submit more than five papers at the same time, you receive the fifth submission free.
What is the absolute deadline?
The final deadline is 12 noon GMT on 31st March 2021.
Am I able to submit a paper after the deadline?
No. If your paper is submitted after 12 noon GMT on 31st March 2021, it will be disqualified.
When does the work have to have appeared in the market?
The creative work must have appeared in market between 5th April 2019 and 31st March 2021.
What kind of approval do I need before I submit the paper?
Your entry must be approved by the senior management of all the companies involved in the submission and by your senior client who has approved the entire contents of your paper for publication. You must submit the full names of the approvals with your entry, using the entry form.
Are two agencies able to write and submit a paper together?
Yes, an agency may enter jointly with another agency and such collaboration is welcomed.
Can I enter a paper from overseas?
Yes, we accept and encourage submissions from all over the world.
Can I save my submission and come back to it later?
No. All submissions need to be done in one go, as you cannot save information and come back to it later.
How is payment taken?
Payment is done through our online portal. This takes most major credit cards. If you have any trouble with the payment process, please call the office on +44 (0)208 858 0707.
How long does the entry process take?
It shouldn't take more than 2 minutes for submitting each paper as long as you have all the information you need ahead of time. Please be sure to read the 'How to Enter' guide found on our website.
Can I add a link to a video in my paper?
Yes. If you would like to add a video to the paper, please be sure you include a link or hyperlink to the video you would like to include.
Are footnotes counted in the total word count?
How do I know my paper was sucessfully submitted?
Once you complete the submission form, click 'Finish and Pay', and complete your payment, you will recieve 1) a confirmation email from Lexi@apg.org.uk and 2) a receipt from Paypal.
