Happy New Year to all our members, followers and supporters

We’re back with a new Chair, a packed agenda of events and new ideas for training as the year progresses.

First it’s a great big welcome to Dom Boyd, APG Chair for 2016/17. Many of you will have seen Dom at work on the Noisy Thinking stage, heard his wisdom at the APG Training Network, or just chatted to him at one of our events. He’s the newly promoted Group Director of Strategy at Adam and Eve DDB and a truly inspiring person, so we’re more than chuffed that he’s taken on the APG as well.

You’ll get a chance to get know him at one of our many winter events, and he’ll be kicking off the ‘Think Like a CSO’ series on 21st January.

We’ve done some revamping of the site and we hope you like it. We’re also going to create a calendar for the year so you can plan ahead for our events. As always we welcome all feedback and new ideas so keep them coming.

Make sure that you have your membership up to date as not only does it make sense intellectually, socially and personally – but it’s great value. You’ll get half price tickets to our strategy conference in May, free access to Noisy Thinking, access to all the APG case histories going back to the inception of the awards, and cheaper tickets to other events. And you can’t come on our training courses and training workshops unless you are a member. No brainer. Just get in touch with lexi@apg.org.uk or visit our Membership page and she’ll sort it out for you.

I look forward to seeing you soon at one of our events and in the meantime do get in touch if you have something to say, or if there’s anything I can do to help.

Sarah Newman

APG Director
