This workshop offers a comprehensive, practical and down-to-earth guide to managing stress and building resilience. It is run by Paul Phillips who spent over 30 (stress-filled) years in agencies. He has rooted the content in science and neuroscience and geared it to the types of stress people experience in agency life.
This workshop covers the following areas:
Setting the context - stress in today’s world.
How the body and brain respond to stress and the effect of the stress reaction. The balance between good v unhelpful stress.
Techniques and exercises for re-framing your thinking and how you assess and handle stressful challenges.
Practical ideas on how you can change the way you work day-to-day and manage your workload to alleviate stress.
A down-to-earth review of theories and techniques around mindfulness and breathing exercises, including clinical evidence of how they impact the stress reaction in the body. A review of the apps and other tools available.
