We’re thrilled to announce a new strategy entity at the heart of the APG.
MPG is for media planners and strategists who are looking for the same quality of training, events and initiatives that the APG provides for planners and strategists. As of April 2026, it is a core part of the APG and is open for people to join as members, just like the APG.
Media planners and strategists looking for professional support and a vibrant community - this is for you.
The MPG was born out of the Advertising Who Cares? movement and a desire among many media industry leaders and advertisers to ensure that the industry educates the next generation of strategists and planners at a time when social media platforms dominate client spend, fuel societal harm and are funded by advertising. MPG’s founders, led by Sally Weavers and Pippa Glucklich, believe that media doesn’t need any more complexity or automation, it needs more intelligence, more transparency, more education, more inspiration. And this is what the MPG will offer.
Working in close partnership with APG, MPG will run an additional programme of training courses, debates and how-to guides for its members and is designed to unpack the fundamentals of media planning and encourage independent, critical thinking.
You can sign up for membership today. Joining MPG brings you all the benefits of APG membership plus specific training and events targeted directly at media planners.
The first training event is taking place on 19th May and you can go here to sign up for it.
