The APG Creative Strategy Awards has always celebrated strategic brilliance. For 2025, we're amplifying that mission by opening our doors wider than ever before. As Chair of The Shortlist Jury, I'm thrilled to announce not only an extraordinary panel of judges drawn from across the strategic spectrum, but also a series of exciting changes to the awards themselves - all designed to discover and celebrate strategic excellence wherever it exists.

It’s time to get writing.
We are looking for a rich variety of compelling cases that showcase the vast spectrum of creative strategy from brilliant minds everywhere.

Kit Altin, Chair of Shortlisters and Tom Roach, Chair of Judges and Emily Harlock, APG Co-Chair will talk about every flavour of strategy, what it means for the awards, and how to win.
There will be bursts of brilliance when 3 of 2023’s winners give us their 5-minute pitch to the final judges. Jack Spicer on Schmackos, Rory Gallery on Partners Life NZ and Joan Devereux on Flora Plant.
This will be available on a live stream and as a video on the APG site.
Deadline: You have till 3rd April to write and submit your paper.
The APG A-Z:
Creative Strategy in 26 Videos
The APG A-Z is a series of 26 short and inspiring videos that are designed to give you all the basics for a proper understanding of the practice of planning and strategy. Whether you’re just starting out in an agency - be it in advertising, media, social, design, whatever - and have planner or strategist in your title, or you work for a client or research company and have a professional interest in strategy, this course is for you to do in your own time.
Logic, Magic and Sparkle: Workshops on how to write a winning APG case history
Starting 20th January 2025
The APG Creative Strategy Awards are on again in 2025. So if you’re true to the literal interpretation of ‘planner’ or indeed ‘planning’ you will already have started work on your entry.
There are 3 workshops: Logic, Magic and Sparkle. You can do 1, 2 or all 3 of them. Between them, they cover the essential ingredients of the perfect creative strategy case history delivered by the experts in writing and winning APG awards.
